This is a real sports bar. Televised sport plus around 12 snooker tables and 3 dart boards. Plus some good food at lunchtime and excellent pizza in the evening. Casual place basic decor. If thats what you want its great.
Great atmosphere to watch the football and great at all other times too! Pizzas, nice garden, cheap

Nice interesting pub. Its not near any other pubs so is quite a popular upmarket local restaurant/pub. The fact that its circular is quite cool. The bar has a nice upmarket decor. Inside seating is comfortable and so is the outside seating area. Prices are reasonable, food is supposed to be nice as well. it has a car park.
Good selection of beer, both cask and keg. I didn't stay for food although the menu looked good. There is also an extensive gin menu and plenty of outdoor seating.

Landlord and staff are first class. Food looks great but haven't tried any as yet. Always a good start to the Gloucester Road pub crawl and lots of sport on TV. Would highly recommend
Colorful bar. One of my favourites to watch sports and have some food. The QUINOA BURGER is amazing

This place is honestly the best restaurant I have eaten at. Everything, and I mean everything from drinks to food is amazing. The buffalo wings are extremely tasty and the the steaks are tender and full of flavour. I have never had any problems with this restaurant, the service is spot on and the food is AMAZING! Don't go anywhere else for a steak, this is the place to go. The price is right and the portions are decent.
Exceptionally good. Very clean, quick service, friendly and attentive staff. Drinks are lovely. Price is a little on the high side but the food is well worth the price you pay. No alcohol is served here, but they have a fruit smoothie bar and they use fresh fruit. Can't fault Lona. Will come back again and again.

Cozy restaurant with good food and friendly staff.
The real deal. Friendly, great food, you won't go hungry. Or miserable.

My wife and I have ordered takeaway from this restaurant for nearly 5 years and it's been excellent nigh on every time. I've eaten alot of Currys in my time and have a Dad bod to prove it and this place is easily in my top 20.
It’s in Crow Lane but don’t be put off, easy to park, clean, good food reasonably priced, good service and BYO with Co-op and bargain beers almost next door! You can’t go wrong.

best Chinese I've had in Bristol. Really fresh ingredients and not saturated in fat and salt which is perfect. we had the meal for 2 for £26 i thought it was really good value for money taking into account the quality and amount of food you get. We had enough for dinner and lunches he next day. Really satisfied with quality and service definitely be visiting here again.
Lovely local spot to eat. Comprehensive menu and super friendly owners. Recommended.

Fungs Noodle Bar is awesome. I have been going there for about eight years. The elderly couple who run it are friendly and provide the most yummy Chinese food. Eating in is definitely preferred to take away because for about £8 you can order any main off the menu, rice, a starter and a can of drink – far cheaper than it would be as takeaway. And the portions are good size too. It isn’t always the warmest place to eat in the Winter, and the décor isn’t the best, but if you like honest good home cooking then this is the place for you. The salt and pepper ribs are to die for.
We love this place. Great service and food tastes as you'd hope. Veg pancake rolls and salt and chilli king prawn are really good. And the best ribs I've ever had arrived yesterday! Loads of meat, really soft. I had half last night, half tonight. I'm very happy.

Have been using China Capital for years. Excellent Food. Service can be a bit slow. But they always tell me an approx delivery time. But well worth waiting for. Best in my area.
didn't take long for them to deliver the food but when it arrived i found a black hair in my rice, which i was shocked, i am sure that this is a one time thing and wont happen again up the china

You know what it's like, you live within walking distance of a restaurant so it's not going to be great but you keep going as it's convenient. Well that doesn't apply here. The food is great, the people are very nice, they serve Cobra on draught and it's just down the road. Result.
Fantastic food and well priced. I'm a big fan of the set menu they also do on a Sunday and Monday. My favourite Indian in the area.

Stopped here for a bit of respite during the recent snow storms. Had a very nice madras. Very friendly staff and great service. Would definitely eat here again.
Great food, nice decor, friendly staff. My only complaint was that courses were brought out too quickly with no gap in between.

We've not been for a couple of years but I'm so glad we came back!! Delicious food, great service. And most importantly it's not a one pot wonder place. Myself and my husband ordered different dishes and they had their own unique flavour and ingredients. We eat alot of curry and more recently have favoured cooking our own as local places weren't as nice. But we will definitely be ordering take away and coming to eat in more often as it was fantastic!
Fantastic! Went on a Friday evening and they had space for the two of us, both had different chicken dishes from the Chef's Specials, and they were both fantastic. Really incredible food. Service was friendly and attentive as well! Can't fault them

Amazing service..thanks Becky Xxx
Bruschetta was very basic and bland. Lasagne was 7 layers of pasta with little else although TBH did taste good. Quick service.

We visited Bella Italia after looking for places that can accommodate people with food allergies. I have lactose intolerance and my wife has a wheat intolerance so eating out can often be a chore and yep the shopping in our house always fun!. After looking online we checked their menu and gave it a go. From starters to deserts they offer many options to cover most allergens. The lady who seated us was friendly and very helpful and offered options not clear on the menu. I had meatballs to start with vegan cheese and it was delicious I highly recommend them to any visitor. My wife enjoyed a gluten free pizza which she says was 5 star very tasty and fresh, very good bread for gluten free. The restaurant is lovely and the music fitting my only issue here was we were left unattended from the food coming out. We wanted more drinks but it was as if the staff disappeared, no one in sight. We had to search for someone when we wanted to pay and then the waitress offered us a desert menu, little too late!. I didn't want this issue to spoil the review as like I said the options were good and very tasty. Lactose intolerance/ vegan options 5☆ Gluten free options 5☆
Nice food, hot and tasty. However, if you want the attention of staff or a dessert after your main, you'll have to wait a long time, as only one member of waiting staff at lunch times, who is always run off her feet. This seems to be the norm as I eat here often. She is just trying to cover too many tables at once. Another member of staff is definitely needed for customer service to be improved.

Delicious food and the service is always amazing! Try the crab linguine or ox cheek ragu. The pizzas are top notch as well. Lovely to terrace to sit outside in the sunshine or if its the evening you can pop over the road to Messa (owned by the same people) for a delicious cocktail before or after your meal.
Lovely friendly restaurant with gluten free options. Always a lovely food experience.

Great experience, food is really good though most of it seems centrally prepared. Good selection with a lot of variety. Look out for the special days to get extra value. Surprisingly popular with the kids.
I attended a Sushi Master Class. I would recommend it to everyone. Our Head Chef Beata was simply fantastic. She offered great advice, patience and encouragements. We learnt a lot, ate a lot and it's really good value as it only costs £50 for two people and look at what you get for it! That's the quantity for one person. Really nice entertainment to do with friends, family or couples.

Been here many times and consistently enjoyed the food. Delicious fresh food and great service, friendly staff. Good value for money
Not to be missed. Quaint, pleasant setting with attention to detail paid to both the décor and the food. Everything we ate was simply delicious. Presentation of food was pleasing and prices were very reasonable for the quality. Friendly staff/owners.

The food was absolutely wonderful, I went two days in a row and enjoyed it both times. Service is great and the atmosphere is as well. I would highly recommend the chicken katsu curry. The gin and tonic is good here if you enjoy tonic, which I didn’t when I initially ordered it. Your food gets brought out very quickly after ordering it.
Staff attentive and efficient. A range of dishes on the menu. Seating mix of communal benches and side tables. Food tasty and well cooked. Good for a quick meal, but not the ambiance for a dinner out.
116 Merlin Rd, Patchway, Bristol BS34 5UP, UK
Friendly staff. Good drinks knowledge (for the cocktails). Nice food. Though not the cheapest place to drink.
Fantastic experience here! I purchased the afternoon tea, and stayed for prosecco after. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Will defo be returning.
138 Kellaway Ave, Bristol BS6 7YQ, UK – 0117 924 7693
Dropped in for my first visit on a snowy Friday a couple of weeks ago. Great atmosphere inside, very friendly clientele and superb bar girl who ensured we got a table during a really busy period. She shuffled several groups of people around in an efficient but very friendly and courteous manner. Enjoyed the cheeseburger and chips too. You can eat what you like on these chilly occasions!
Like almost all the pubs in the area, this pub was grotty a few years ago, received a huge facelift and now caters for an aspirational, middle income clientele. A very popular, bustling, female- and child-friendly place. The garden, though really just a rectangle of lawn, has been made attractive through bright decoration and caters well for children. The place is so clean and 'nice' that it's perhaps a little sterile and could do with something quirky to inject a bit of character.
Golden Lion, 244 Gloucester Rd, Bristol BS7 8NZ, UK – 0117 924 6449
Love this place. I sound and look properly American. The only race/nation related thing said to me here, ever, was “welcome!” - Daniel sounds like a bellend. - A gem up pigsty hill, def check it out.
I had my first legal pint at this venue on my 18th birthday many years ago and there isn't another Pub/Venue in Bristol i would reccommend than The Golden Lion, the friendliest bar staff, it's the only pub me and my Friends go to for a drink, the food is incredible and the bargain in price easily makes it a regular treat!
